If
one of our standard stairs does not meet your requirements,
we can custom design a stair to your specifications. Simply
fax or send us a copy of your basement, first, and second
floor stair areas from your blueprints or a detailed,
dimensioned sketch. One of our designers will then custom
design your stair on our CAD system. You will receive
a planview and framing details for your stair. This service
is provided free of charge to customers ordering their
custom stairs from AJ Stairs.
We
also offer stair and rail design and layout services.

Drawing
the stair and framing in a CAD environment allow AJ
Stair's to make sure that your stair will fit perfectly
and quickly determine which are the best methods in
creating your stair. Probably the most important aspect
of the design stage, is the ability to spot a problem
(ie: headroom, illegal run, contradiction between
desired stair and existing framing, etc.) before we
even pick up a hammer. |

Now
that we have all the info we need to begin drawing up
your stair, you might be wondering "what other drawings
will be done besides a detail of the stair?" Well,
that all depends on the stair. Most of our CAD packages
will includea separate drawing for: Main Stair, Basement
Stair (optional), 1st Floor Framing, 2nd Floor Framing,
Rail Layout, Side View(s) (optional), Rail Side View(s)
(optional), Balcony Rail (optional), and Rail Components
(optional).
All stairs are not limited to just these, as some stairs
require even further detail. |
